A senior IT leader's perspective on enterprise technology.
Beyond Your Cloud is a personal thought-leadership blog written by a senior IT professional with nearly two decades of enterprise experience. It is not a consultancy, does not trade, and does not offer services of any kind.
About the author
I am a senior IT leader with nearly 20 years of experience delivering enterprise-scale technology programmes across architecture, cloud modernisation, modern workplace transformation, and IT commercial governance. I have made real decisions with real constraints and real high-value consequences — the kind that don't come with a safety net or a second chance to get them right.
I write Beyond Your Cloud to share the thinking, frameworks, and perspectives I have developed over that career — drawing on direct hands-on experience rather than vendor documentation or theoretical frameworks. I have also had the privilege of working alongside some of the best third-party experts in the industry, and that exposure shapes much of what I write.

Who this is written for
The content on Beyond Your Cloud is aimed at senior IT professionals who are responsible for making strategic, architectural, and commercial decisions in complex organisations. It is intended to be analytical, direct, and grounded in practice rather than theory.
Strategic frameworks and leadership perspectives for technology executives navigating transformation, governance, and organisational change.
Practical analysis of the architectural, commercial, and operational decisions that define how well an IT function performs.
Technical depth on platform design, cloud patterns, workplace technology, and the engineering decisions that underpin enterprise IT.
Practitioner perspective
Every post is written from direct experience in enterprise IT — not from vendor documentation, marketing material, or theoretical frameworks.
No commercial agenda
Beyond Your Cloud is not a business. There are no services to sell, no vendor relationships to protect, and no commercial incentive to shade the analysis.
Independent voice
I write under a pseudonymous identity so the ideas and analysis speak for themselves — not a personal brand or employer affiliation.
Clarity of thought
Complex ideas deserve clear expression. Every post aims to make the thinking accessible without sacrificing the rigour that senior professionals expect.
I choose to remain anonymous because the content matters more than the person behind it.
